The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) will soon issue an emergency temporary standard to require employers with 100 or more employees to ensure their workers are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or tested for infection on least a weekly basis. Under this standard, covered employers must develop, implement and enforce a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy, unless they adopt a policy requiring employees to choose to either be vaccinated or undergo regular COVID-19 testing and wear a face covering at work. With federal mandates in flux and rising COVID-19 cases, employers are facing countless pandemic-related challenges, including employee morale, employee productivity, adapting to remote work and much more.
